Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
By using this website or engaging Writ Large for document-preparation services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.
Writ Large is a paralegal document-preparation service for federal post-conviction matters, including motions under 28 U.S.C. § 2255, habeas corpus petitions under 28 U.S.C. § 2241, compassionate release motions under 18 U.S.C. § 3582(c)(1)(A), First Step Act time-credit claims, and immigration § 2241 matters. We also offer document retrieval and organization through the Case File service, and a free transfer-request tool. Writ Large is not a law firm, does not employ attorneys, and does not provide individualized legal advice.
Using this website, submitting a form, purchasing a service, or communicating with Writ Large does not create an attorney-client relationship or attorney-client privilege. Our writing team consists of trained paralegals with experience in the federal post-conviction system, working under the oversight of a licensed attorney. We prepare documents for you to review, sign, and file yourself, unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.
Document preparation means we draft the motion, petition, or filing based on the facts and records you provide. The Case File service means we retrieve what is publicly filed in your case and organize it — we do not evaluate the case, recommend a course of action, or tell you what to file. In every service, you remain responsible for reviewing every document for accuracy before signing, for filing it yourself with the court, and for every deadline that applies to your matter.
No outcome, timeline, or result is guaranteed. Courts — not Writ Large — decide the outcome of any filing. Prior results, where referenced, do not guarantee a similar outcome in any other matter.
Pricing for the Case File service is flat and shown on our Pricing page. Pricing for document-preparation services is quoted individually once we understand what your case requires, and may be offered as a single payment or as a monthly payment plan. Payment is processed securely through Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Work on your matter begins after payment, or after the first installment on a payment plan, unless we agree otherwise in writing.
See our Refund Policy for the specific terms governing cancellations, refunds, and monthly payment plans. It is part of these Terms.
You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information and records you provide to us. Delays or errors caused by incomplete or inaccurate information are not the responsibility of Writ Large. You remain responsible for all filing deadlines and procedural requirements applicable to your matter at all times.
